This is the fourth installment in our cornerstone series, Build your own WordPress website in 3 hours (or less). In this series, we will be guiding you through the ordeal (not!) of setting up your own WordPress-powered website, step-by-step.
Fourth step: Navigating your hosting account control panel (cPanel)
(Estimated time: 5 minutes)
Today, we’re just going to do a quick overview of what you’ll see after you log into your control panel. If you followed our recommendations from the post on setting up your hosting, you’ll have signed up with a company that uses cPanel as its control interface.
If you’ve chosen a hosting company that runs different control panel software (such as Plesk, or proprietary systems like GoDaddy uses), you’ll need to get your information from their help section.
